Some 8 inch rears have a taper in them which makes the ubolts narrower than what would work easier on a 9 inch install. Call Currie and order up 4 of them and make life easy. The '67-70 8 inch housing has straight tubes and is 54 1/4 inches from housing flange to housing flange. Without a drain plug, without tapered tubes and in the 52 1/4 inch neighborhood it's probably a MII rear end.
